Korean singer IU, who successfully held her solo live concert at Tokyo International Forum last September has released another album after a long break. The mini-album βCan You Hear Me?β is her first original Japanese album. The production team includes hit producers Jam & Lewis who worked with Janet Jackson and other stars, and the album presents a fresh image of IU unlike what we have seen from her so far. (In this interview,) we asked her about her thoughts on this original Japanese album as well as her activities in Korea recently.

(On singing the duet ‘Nagging’ with 2AM’s Seulong) I was taken aback when the song came in 1st place on music charts. I thought to myself then, “So I’m actually able to get 1st place”. It’s all thanks to Seulong’s fans.
